Scotland The Brave’s Plans for Travel within Great Britain

Scotty considers travelling around the UK by train

Scotland the Brave planned to visit the United Kingdom. He especially wanted to see Scotland. He spent some time deciding what to take. He settled on just a couple of light bags and a minimal change of bow ties.

He would fly all the way from Perth in Australia to England. A quick look at the globe showed that it was A Very Long Way. He studied maps to see where to go and what to see.

The plane would land near London. Scotty’s maps showed him that London was no where near Scotland. He needed a plan. And transport.

First, Scotty considered driving himself about. One or two problems arose. Getting insurance for small bears on a self-drive holiday seems to be impossible these days. Also, Scotty couldn’t reach the pedals on most vehicles.

So Scotty next considered getting about by train. There are lots of trains in England. Scotty likes trains. They are rather his style. (In the event, Scotty did get to travel a short way by train, and a steam train at that.)

Meanwhile the Guardians had decided to travel by bus. Scotty didn’t mind. He likes buses too. He hoped it would be a red one. (It belonged to Trafalgar Tours and turned out to be mostly white, not red.)

In the next episode, you can see Scotland out and about in London. The Guardians and Scotty explored London for a couple of days and then they got on the tour bus. But then, horror! The bus it set off for the west of England for Devon and Cornwall and not for the north and Scotland! Has there been a terrible mistake? Will Scotty ever reach his destination? Stay tuned!
