It’s the classic Ye Olde Village, isn’t it. And it fact the movie Waking Ned Devine was filmed here for that very reason. There are meadow flowers and lush green fields all around. Promenading in Douglas in The Isle of Man
We walked around Douglas or took the horse tram, and so we noticed many small delights in the architecture. Most of the fore-shore buildings still bear the names bestowed on them during the Victorian Era such as the Trevelan, The Empress and The Gaiety Theatre.

Clydesdales and Shire Horses: The next thing they could not help but see was the famous Douglas Horse Tramway clomping along. Torrin and Ginger and the other tram horses are famous on Ellen Vannin. The Isle of Man could fit inside Greater Perth several times over, and yet it seems larger. It’s a whole little world unto itself, with sea-side towns and ports and beaches and spectacular cliffs and forests and mountains. And, of course, it has a fascinating history.
